Parcels has successfully achieved its ISO 27001 recertification by SAI Global!
What is it?
ISO 27001 is the international standard for information security, set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
ISO is an independent, non-governmental international organization that sets international standards covering almost all aspects of technology and manufacturing.
ISO 27001 provides requirements for an information security management system (ISMS), enabling organizations to manage the security of data assets like financial information, intellectual property, and client data.
The standard details requirements for establishing, maintaining, and improving an information security management system.
Why it matters
Most organizations have some information security controls in place. But without an ISMS, those controls are more like a patchwork quilt than an overarching, integrated solution, creating weak points or exposures in the organization’s security.
The standards apply to non-IT assets (like paperwork), as well.
ISO 27001 standards require:
- A systematic examination of the organization’s information security risks
- Comprehensive information security controls that address the organization’s various risks and exposures
- A management process to ensure the information security controls evolve to meet the organization’s needs on an ongoing basis
How clients benefit
Clients can rest assured that all assets – from eDiscovery data to hard copy exhibit binders – are managed in accordance with these world-class information security standards.
We aren’t just ensuring the security of your digital assets. Our comprehensive security controls protect all information that passes through our hands, whether on the way to the courtroom or to the shredder.
And our team is continually adjusting our information security controls to address new risks and exposures. Continual and incremental improvement is an information security top priority at Parcels.
